No Knead Bread in skillet, glass pot, bread pan or make buns on cookie sheet
In large mixing bowl ….. add
- 2 cups warm water
- 1 1/2 teaspoon traditional yeast (dissolved in a bit of warm water for 5 min.)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 Tablespoon honey
Stir above ingredients together. Add 4 cups flour (2 white and 2 whole wheat) Stir in flour with a big spoon. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 and 1/2 hours. (a good place to raise the dough … place bowl in microwave with the door not quite closed. The light bulb is on and keeps it just warm enough to raise the dough.) After 1 1/2 hours stir dough with spoon for about one minute. Place dough in greased skillet, glass pot, bread pan or make buns on greased cookie sheet. Cover with tea towel and let rise again on counter top for about one hour. Heat oven to 375 degrees and bake for about half an hour or less till golden brown. Cool on rack and enjoy.
You could add pumpkin and sun flower seeds or garlic, black olives, cheese or raisins and cinnamon to change the flavour.

Glazed Pop Corn
10 cups (or so) popped corn
half cup margarine
3 T corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar (or white)
2 pkg. (4 serving size) No Name jello – red or any color
Put popped corn in a large bowl. In Microwave melt margarine and syrup on low heat. Stir in sugar and No Name jello. Bring to boil on medium heat. Simmer on low for 5 mins. Pour mixture immediately over popped corn. Toss to coat well. Spread pop corn on greased cake pan or cookie sheet. Spread evenly in pan and bake in 200 degree oven for 15 mins. Stir half way through. Cool. Remove from pan and break up into pieces.
Purple jello doesn’t work. Pop Corn remains plain white. Red jello works! No Name jello powder works the best.
